We showed up on a rainy friday to film the Black Sheep Salon commercial, we was already at their location to film Black Sheep in the new Miracle Plaza video a local business spotlight commercial highlighting the plaza and the locals businesses that make the city unique and great. We started filming inside the salon because of the rain, hoping when we were finished filming inside it would clear up enough to fly the drone for the aerial shots we had in mind. Inside we focused on the scenery and details of the shop what feeling the atmosphere gives you. We shot the front and all the areas of the salon, and then focused on the stylists. We shot mostly in slow motion with our 3-axis gimbal for awesome steady moving shots, we captured many of the different services being offered to the clients at Black Sheep along with complimentary glass of champagne given to the client as they meet with their stylist. Paul and Alison work together as cosmetology instructors in Stuart for Indian River State College. They were challenged with finding positions for graduates who don’t fit the “normal” job description. Together they opened Black Sheep Salon, where creative stylists can thrive. “We have been called rebellious and strange… the black sheep, all because we refuse to be like everyone else.” We believe everyone should reach for the stars and our team is encouraged to always continue improving.
