Concepts Media Co Logo Design
The beginning of the Concepts Media Company logo started as sketches in my notebook. I went through several concepts of CMC, different orders, on-top, inside, the “batman” version, all just by sketching out a few ideas. Finally settling on the one I’m pointing at with my pencil.
After a few weeks of sketches and asking my close friends and family members their thoughts and ideas for the logo, I finally felt comfortable to bring my new logo to life. I took my design ideas to Maxon Cinema 4D, that program allows me to create professional 3D logos from scratch. Starting with the C in one of my favorite fonts, Segoe UI, also known as the Microsoft font. One of the best fonts to use for it’s clean, and sharp look that seems to state exactly what you want without anything extra. Then for the M and the name of the company (Concepts Media Company) I used another great professional looking font called Steady. I built the first draft of the logo the same as I sketched it and colored the face in a dark wine colored red. I sent that first version again to close friends and family for ideas and today good constructive criticism that only those closest to you can give.
After that first round, I made some changes to the design and the color. The two biggest changes was giving a little angle to the logo, just turning it about 20 degrees to really bring out the 3D look of the logo. Next and I think the most considerable design change was the color of the logo. On the advice from my wife I painted it as if the logo was a blank canvas and it was painted into a work of art. If you look closely you can see the scallops of paint on the face of the logo.
